Migraine is a type of headache that can cause moderate to severe symptoms.

Migraine Symptoms

Symptoms of a migraine may include:

  • Pulsating or throbbing headache

    • Typically unilateral (one-sided)

  • Nausea

  • Vomiting

  • Photophobia (sensitivity to light)

    • May prefer a dark room

  • Phonophobia (sensitivity to sound)

    • May prefer a quiet room

  • May experience an aura (symptoms before/start of a migraine)

    • Changes to vision, flashing lights, neurological symptoms, etc.
